In order to practice the spirit of Lei Feng and carry forward traditional virtues of the Chinese nation of respecting the elder, love the aged, respect the elderly, helpage, propose the volunteerism of “dedication, friendly affection, mutual assistance, progress”, lead the young employees to respect the elders, give presents eldership, learn to be grateful, in the morning of March 4, Younth League branch of Yong Ji Sub-branch organized 8 young volunteers to go to gerocomium of Kou Qian Town to carry out condoling activity.

After range of driving of more than half an hour, the young volunteers came to the gerocomium of having their hearts filled with enthusiasm, also brought with rice, flour, soya-bean oil and other living goods purchased with the loving heart donation from more than 120 staff of our bank, sent the truth warmth and care. Just arriving at gerocomium, the young volunteers then went into action immediately, took the rice, flour, soya-bean oil and other life goods of costing more than 1800 Yuan to move to the mess hall of the gerocomium, and had a brief handover ceremony with the leaders of the gerocomium. The elders caught sight of so many rice, flour, soya-bean oil, they cannot control their feelings and held in their arms, splendid smile emerged on the faces of the elders, the whole gerocomium was in jubilation reigns everywhere. The young volunteers went to the rooms of the elders, inquired after their health, had a cordial talk with them. Some volunteers talked the daily life of the family with the elders, inquiring the life conditions; some volunteers helped the elders to trim the nails; some volunteers took the hot water for footbath for the elders. The faces of the elders overflew the moved smile, erected their thumbs for the volunteers one after the other.

Through the volunteer activity, the young employees realize the true meaning of love by personal experience, feel the happiness and satisfaction of serving for the elders, it is more important that make the young employees understand the connotation of spirit of Lei Feng deeply.
